“It was the last time I saw my brother... The last time I saw the Sun.”
Way better the second time
Having a brother you love very much makes this movie hit way harder.
Also, I love Ryan Coogler's and Ludwig Göransson's choice of Rocky Road to Dublin. The song is about someone leaving their hometown for better opportunities elsewhere, only to find discrimination. It is a relatable tale for both Irish and African Americans. Coogler is a genius, and I'm happy he didn't take a straightforward approach when explaining things to the audience, instead letting us digest and reflect.
Also, the Irish Jig in 70mm slaps so hard that it had me almost up and dancing on my feet in the second-row lmao
