Gummo
Harmony Korines “Gummo” is not your normal film. It explores lots of dark subjects like toxic masculinity, poverty and a terrible childhood. This film is the tale of Tumbler, a weird outcast who shoots cats with one of his friends, gets high on paint and does some weird sh*t. I love how they explore the town, showing lots of different people like those crazy people arm wrestling, a trans person who starts to shoot cats and takes care of his Nan, the three sisters and a mentally challenged person. This film will not hold your hand, it is a disturbing film! The films shows a life of a town that is chaotic and poor and it really makes you want to not be there anytime soon. Also the bunny boy is great, he’s kind of like the person who gets bullied a lot but doesn’t care about what people think. Also the kids selling the crunch bars are hilarious idiots! My new favourite Harmony Korine film!8/10
