StalkerLachlan Barnes9.9· March 30, 2021FollowThis film is astounding in lots of different ways, the cinematography is gorgeous and it makes me feel like I’m in a cold damp place. The idea of the colour pallet was great, the acting was amazing and most of the philosophy talk was spectacular and was quite personal to me especially the scene where the writer talks about how no one cares about his art. Also the premise for the film is really interesting that had me gripping on the edge of my seat! To me at least the dog is like a mentor, spectating what they do when they try to achieve their task when they are in the zone as the dog always follows them. My main issue with the film is the final act, it goes on for way to long and I feel like the film should’ve ended when they are looking through the room and they see the rain dropping from the ceiling but that is just me. The reason why I said most of the philosophical discussion is great is because a bit of it feels disjointed and slog to get through where as most of it is quite interesting. Overall Stalker didn’t disappoint, it may not be perfect but Jesus is this film inspirational for me! 9/10Closer to an 8 then a 10CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the appSee all Lachlan's reviews for Stalker (2)First watch9.9March 30, 2021Rewatch 19.9August 17, 2023
