Cabaret
I only watch this once a year and that's simply to maintain my love for it without becoming desensitised by constant rewatches, and also because I cry so fucking much that I need a whole year to recover. This means so much to me. It genuinely changed my life. This is what inspires me in life, it's the reason I'm pursuing film, it's made me love learning and helped me appreciate the world. Fuck I mean rambling about this in my personal statement was probably the highlight of this year, I just want to integrate this into my future in every way. The love I have for this art can't be described, it's so overwhelming, from the book to the play to the stage to the screen it's just all so overwhelming and I love it more than anything and I'm literally so annoying about it and I vow to be for the rest of my life. The things I would give to see Cabaret on Broadway, I've seen it on the West End but at the moment I feel like Broadway would be cathartic. I love art. I love when art makes you feel like this.
