Challengers

*– “maybe you just wanted to see me.” – “i have seen you. you look like shit.” ⋆𐙚 ₊ ° ⊹ * possibly the best movie of 2024 and one of my favorite movies of all time. there’s not a single flaw i could pinpoint, because all the aspects are simply ten out of ten.  i love the story, the concept of this film. it’s so hot and steamy and suffocating in the best way imaginable. i do dare to call Challengers the best work of Luca Guadagnino by far and i’m not certain anything could top this. i could talk about the score for lifetimes and i seriously notice how big of an impact it had on the film industry and score-making in general, and it is more than understandable.  overall, this movie changed lots of things in many communities and brought people from different backgrounds and places together. Luca did this before with Call Me By Your Name, but it was very distinct from what he did with this film.  the casting was perfect, the cinematography is very exquisite in an experimental way but turned out a perfect piece, the script is quick and witty and matches the scheme of the whole movie. i love it. you can clearly see when the filmmakers know exactly what they’re doing and how they want it to look even if it appears messy on the surface and i have grown to adore that.
