I can’t stop watching this and it hurts me so much like it just completely shattered me in the most devastating way. Chloe Zhao directs with such tenderness that every single frame in this movie feels like a fragile memory you’re afraid to disturb truly one of the best directors of this century AND holy shit Jessie Buckley is extraordinary beyond words like the depth of grief she carries in a single look feels almost too real, too intimate like SHE DESERVES EVERY SINGLE AWARD SERIOUSLY. She’s taking that Oscar home trust me. Now Paul Mescal brings a restrained, aching softness that makes every silence between them feel heavy with love and loss which left me insanely emotional . Besides the adult actors, all the children were just remarkable especially Jacobi Jupe, like he brings such natural innocence and warmth that his presence makes the heartbreak almost freaking unbearable his performances alone never feels like acting, only like life unfolding. The film made me feel grief, love, longing, beauty and basically every single emotion all at once and it’s not just powerful, it’s overwhelming in the most poetic way. Truly one of the most beautifully interpreted and emotionally devastating movies I’ve ever experienced. Chloe I love you. Please make more movies
