Psycho
babys second hitchock film… and i dont know which one i like better. im so infatuated with the cinematography in both psycho and vertigo, even with the black and white its so beautiful. and i think the lack of color adds so much dread to the story too, its so fitting i couldnt imagine a colorized version of it.
psychological horror is one of my favorite genres of all time, there are few things i find more interesting than analyzing the human psyche and exploring morbid curiosities through storytelling. psycho is absolutely perfect in this sense. it was definitely ahead of its time, most horror movies in this era were science fictiony, which i still love, but nothing is scarier than what human beings are capable of. anthony perkins did an amazing job as norman bates, the mannerisms and the stutters, everything about him is so unsettling even before you get to know him. but what i found the most terrifying was his stare at the very end, i wont get that out of my mind.
and THE SCORE. once again just too good. yeah alfred ur the master of suspense we get it
