Hocus Pocus
we’re young! well… younger. ugh i love this movie, it’s such a childhood classic, and it never gets old no matter how many times i’ve seen it throughout my life. max and dani are amazing siblings, and they make me wish that i was able to have that kind of thing when i was younger as i never really got to have that growing up. their entire sibling hate dynamic early in the movie is so fun, and watching their relationship grow throughout the film is great. allison and max, cute little young lovers brought together through traumatic night of witch terror. it can’t get any better than that. i hope they live a long and happy life together cause i ship a little too hard. moving onto the sanderson sisters, i love them. each of them are so funny and deliver some very funny lines that had me actually laughing, rather than a slight chuckle. my personal favorite sanderson would have to be sarah, she’s just so pretty and that witchy bimboness was great for this movie. BOY CRAZY WITCH THAT CAN SING— she’s just excellent. come little children is iconic and i’d be lured out by that spell too. i love it sm. her singing that song is one of my favorite parts of the whole movie. COME LITTLE CHILDREN, I’LL TAKE THEE AWAY INTO A LAND OF ENCHANTMENT. it eats so hard. billboard top 100 in 1993 in fact. winnie and mary were also great.. i love them, but they will never be on the same level as sarah for me. sarah sanderson will always be famous to me. some other things i enjoyed, but won’t go into detail were: binx, the dance til you drop spell, i put a spell on you (the sisters ate there), max stealing his shoes back from ICE, dani’s excessive reminders that max is a virgin, the sandersons adjusting to the modern world, WHEN THEIR BROOMS GOT STOLEN (mary on a vacuum always sends me). there’s honestly not too much to say about this movie other than the fact that it will forever remain one of the best halloween classics. this was a great way to start off october. i just wanna know how max and dani are gonna explain the massive hole in the roof to their parents. oh come on, it’s just a bunch of hocus pocus.
