not the most straightforward halloween watch, but the costume design in this is eternally haunting. fauno has always been one of my favorite characters stylistically! my bf mentioned that ofelia’s becoming of her ‘royal’ stature could’ve been a form of escapism, but the optimism in me would like to believe that it was all real. hopefully she’s outliving us all
