Blade Runner 2049
This review is hard for me. I loved so many things about it but so many things didn’t work either.
The atmosphere of the movie and the world, the colors, the landscape was amazing, some of the best I have seen. I can’t stress how much I really love the world that was built it’s something truly special.
This however is where my praise ends.
The world felt so devoid of feelings and love that I found it hard to connect on an emotional level with anything that was going on. Sure the visuals were absolutely stunning but I never felt like I cared. It felt more like a museum than a story. I did not enjoy the villains and felt their motivations were half baked. I never felt connected to Harrison fords character. And the love story with the robot felt a little under developed, I never really cared about their relationship or death.
Over all I enjoyed the movie and would rewatch it.
