Dreams

i finally got to rate this film a 5/5 stars. okay. like i said, this was my second Akira Kurosawa movie. the film mesmerizes me with its visually stunning imagination. each story (dream segments) shows us different types of stories inspired by the director’s dreams and each of it ends with a cliffhanger. my personal favorites are: the "Crows" and the "Mount Fuji in Red" story. the visuals, imagination, screenplay are truly fantastic. i never saw a director in my life making a story about his dreams through films. i perspectively thought that was the creative thing to do: creating a whole new idea for a story. i should watch Akira Kurosawa's films more often, because he's genuinely one of the most creative filmmakers in history imo. haha. Dreams is a true masterpiece that needs to be recognized for its creativity and imagination that puts us into a whole new world full of ideas. i just realized that the director works with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for this film and finally got the chance to recruit Martin Scorsese to do a cameo. LOL. that was amazing.
