Kramer vs. Kramer
I finally got the chance to watch this film again, but this time in 4K, as I previously watched it in 480p (which was a bit disappointing). It was only a month since I saw it, but I'm already dying to see it again. It wasn't long after my first viewing that I started wanting to watch it again lmao
This film tells the story of a father named Ted Kramer who has to take care of his son Billy after his wife Joanna left him because Ted cared more about his work than his family life. Ted actually had no such intentions, he still loved his wife and child and still supported them. Ted always tried to look after and protect his son but Joanna instead returned and asked for the right to have Billy back in her hands. Ted refused and a court to seize custody of their child began.
This film depicts the life of a single parent raising their child after one of them dies or leaves home. Ted is portrayed as a strong father figure who is able to work and raise his child simultaneously. I think he has very good character development. His role in this film is very important for Billy. Meanwhile, Joanna is portrayed as a weak but selfish wife. She chose to leave her family just because she didn't get much attention from her husband, even though her husband had no intention/thought of it that way. She left her family but returned to take custody of her child without shame.
Yes, this is a very good and realistic film. It also provides many meaningful messages. Most people think more about themselves than others, without considering the future impact. A divorce will also have a significant impact on a child's life. However, there are also positive impacts. Every action has its positives and negatives, and we need to learn from every action we take.
This film crushed my goddamn heart yall. I absolutely loved it. Dustin, Meryl, Justin, and Jane really put their hard work into this film. Absolutely brilliant. Thumbs Up! 💘💯
