Dune

Still unbelievable. Would be the greatest Sci-Fi film of all time if it wasn’t for part 2. Only tiny issue is that it doesn’t really come to a climax. Still enjoy every second of this, but it builds and builds and builds but then it kind of settles by the end. Relative to the rest of the film, it does fizzle out. I say relatively because even that final 20-30mins would be the best part of basically any other Sci-Fi blockbuster. That’s how good even the ‘worst’ parts of this film is. It also sets up part 2 impeccably. The heights achieved by the next film are because of how well this sets it up.
