Superman
Already gone to rewatch this (not at the cinema, just online) and it's just as good on rewatch. I genuinely cannot believe how good this is. James Gunn's best film (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the only one that gets close in my opinion). Could also be DC's best film full stop - Batman Begins is close but I'm 99% sure this is better. I also think I'm ready to say it's my favourite superhero film of all time. Incredible plot with so many layers: romantic and intimate relationships, intricate political affairs, multiple amazing sci-fi elements, perfect protagonists and antagonists with unbelievable side characters to go alongside them, visually vibrant and comic-like (exactly what I wanted it to be), entertaining and emotional action sequences, brilliant comedic moments. I genuinely don't know what more you could want from a superhero film. In one film, I am already more excited for the future of DC than I am Marvel.
