Nixon

This is a movie made for real orthogonians right here this was awesome. Stone gets at exactly why Nixon is one of the most interesting people to ever live. A man so pitiful that you can almost, almost sympathize with him despite his obvious and total evil. Someone who truly believes that he’s the messiah holding the world on his shoulders while everyone else is against him. The complete embodiment of “it’s not a lie if you believe it”. And at the end of it you still feel sorry for him! Hopkins does such an incredible job depicting this, one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.  On a side note, Stone does such a good job at depicting Washington as the center of the evil empire man the way he shoots the establishing shots of the Washington monument and the White House just feels so cold and sinister it’s so great.  I will say that i did feel like this movie did kind of drag at the end but when it’s at its stride every scene is an absolute all timer i couldn’t believe how good it was it just kept coming and coming. As a Nixon head i loved this thing man can’t believe it took me this long to watch it.
