Moonlight (2016) isn’t the type of movie you just watch and move on from. It lingers in this quiet, uncomfortable way and leaves you without closure, just an incomplete feeling that mixes tenderness and heaviness at the same time.
Chiron was everything. His loneliness, sadness and quietness. I felt it all.
He didn’t change, he just disappeared into what the world could accept and he learned to survive on his own even if all he wanted was to be seen.
And some people spend their whole lives waiting to be seen.
