Ip Man
Think I’ll struggle to find a film with better fight choreography than this. Every strike is surgical, graceful, and absolutely lethal. The one iconic beatdown might be the cleanest fight I’ve ever seen in a film.
There’s a lot of soul in this story as well, which really sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill action films. Set against the Japanese occupation, the film balances its action with some real, genuine emotional punches.
Villains might be one note, but really, who cares? There’s so much sauce here it’s hard not to have a great time.
