Unbreakable

A thoughtful and earnest take on the superhero genre. M. Nights masterful exploration of the superhero mythos is grounded in realism and psychological depth. Both Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson are brilliant as these two men connected by fate. The slower pacing makes for a rich exploration of destiny, identity and the duality of human nature. I will say i enjoyed the ending however it did feel a little abrupt and had left me wanting more but regardless it’s quiet brilliance and emotional resonance make it a standout from the rest of the superhero genre.
