FLCL

9.5+/10 Even though this is technically not a movie I rate it as such because it's just as long as one. This is one of those animes that grabs you from the get go and never lets go. It's really such an incredible stylish and entertaining anime from the great soundtrack by the pillows to the varied animation styles and the exciting fights. This is even without mentioning the great story about the coming of age and coming to terms with maturity. But even though it's very humorous you get a lot of truely touching scenes and even though it's not essential to analyse it, that just makes it even better. The only negative thing I have to say about it would be that it can be very confusing and cryptic on a first watch but even with that it's one of the best coming of age stories with some of the best and most effecient character writing I have seen and it's really a must watch because it's just so god damn entertaining.
