Monogatari

7/10 Wonderful animation and dialogue with some interesting characters and action. Lacked a bit in the plot area but I feel like some episodes make up for it (see episode 12) but it was overall a little to messy and incoherent to be a 9 or a 10 for me. It didn't delve deep enough into the characters and themes for me so far (could be partly becuase I just finished Vinland Saga and I am really high on that show but still). But I am still suprised that it's good because it breaks basically every rule of filmmaking such as show don't tell. But Monogatari on the other hand tells everything and basically shows nothing but is still really good. I also loved how the aberrations represent psychological problems and how they tackle that subject. The fanservice didn't bother me per say but it was a little to much sometimes. Overall a really good start to a really highly praised show that I have really high hopes for. Loved Araragi so far and I am really looking forward to seeing Kizumonogatari in the upcoming days but I would still not recommend it to anyone outside of people that already like harem and anime.
