Where do i begin…
Arguably the best film ever made, a true story that has been made to show the realities of depression and the downward spiral this can have was unique to see.
Father-daughter relationships I believe are the hardest ones to portray in film as i’m not used to seeing one that is somewhat similar to mine, the karaoke scene made me sit for a while after it and think about my own experiences, something I don’t do very often.
Paul Mescals best film by a mile. The absolute loss of self control shown in the rave scenes capturing the inside of an unwell brain and how draining it can be to pretend everything is okay.
The guilt Sophie feels after realising she never saw how her Dad felt and how she ran out of time to save him, very poignant. The sort of film that makes you think of your own life and how you see yourself in Sophie a lot.
This film was shot so beautifully and the difference in colours during the bathroom scene was so clever and actually made me gasp.
It’s truly an honor to be able to experience this film.
