Interstellar
WATCHED IN THEATRES!!!
Probably the greatest theatre experience I’ve ever had, just felt so amazing to watch on the big screen, some parts would make you feel like you’re floating in the air.
There were 2 main scenes that had me on the absolute verge of tears.
1. When cooper leaving home and you see the switch from him driving away from home and switching to what everyone’s reactions are of him leaving, in one part of the scene when cooper lifts the blanket up where he finds nothing under it reminds the viewer that when in the search for where the coordinates lead which ends up with them finding NASA makes the scene for me way more emotion.
2. When cooper watches the messages after being gone for 23 years 4 months and 3 days on earth time is one of the most tragic scenes for me because it reminds you that his kids have aged and now Tom is older then him and Murphy is the same age as him. He also said he may be the same age as murph when he comes back and you see he definitely wasn’t back. Matthew’s performance as Cooper definitely peaks at this part as you see the most beautiful emotional performance ever from the camera always cutting to the video and back to his face every time to show how much emotion he shows if that’s is the happiest tears or the saddest tears.
But probably my favourite moment in this movie is definitely the docking scene. This scene is so masterful you see how Cooper wants to dock the ranger into the endurance, but Brand, TARS and CASE don’t believe he is able to make but Cooper drops one of the best lines ever.
CASE: “it’s not possible”
Cooper: “No, it’s necessary”
Overall my respect has insanely bumped up for this movie and when watching on theatres I just realise that this is one of the greatest pieces of art ever.
