Magnolia

all the acting was crazy, i didn’t know tom cruises bag was this deep😭😭 it’s crazy that they made me care abt every character and got all point of views of the overarching theme they pushed, all parts of family trauma, forgiveness, stages of life… this movie to me is about all of life the pta visual language is so appealing whenever i watch a film of his— this one with the whip pans and smooth transitions between intertwining narratives, and of course, the tracking shots prolly could’ve been shorter but pta still carries a signature pace throughout so much more to say but i won’t say
