Dune

In my view, the visual influence of Lawrence of Arabia on this film is unmistakable. Villeneuve himself has described Lawrence of Arabia as a perfect film, and with Dune, he has transformed that historical epic into a science-fiction adventure. The cinematography and world-building were also masterfully executed. Ultimately, the film succeeds in creating a universe, one that was entirely new to many, and presenting it in an exceptionally credible way.
