Soul
I truly believe Soul and Ratatouille are Pixar's greatest achievements. They're two films that understand something so simple yet so easy to forget: life isn't measured by extraordinary moments alone.
Rewatching Soul made me realize how perfect its 2020 release was. During lockdown, when the world came to a halt, people weren't just missing milestones
they were missing the ordinary. A walk outside, sharing a meal, hearing the city breathe, sitting with people they loved. Soul arrived at exactly the right moment to remind us that these seemingly insignificant moments are what make life worth living.
What I admire most is that the film refuses to treat purpose as a finish line. Joe spends his entire life believing happiness begins once he achieves his dream, only to discover that living itself is the DREAM. The beauty of life isn't waiting at the end of the road
,it's scattered across every step we take.
It's a film that grows wiser with age, and every rewatch feels like it reveals something new. More than a story about music or ambition, Soul is a gentle reminder to reconnect with the world around us and appreciate the quiet beauty we've always had.
