Maid
Sean gave off Joffrey vibes for 10 straight episodes. Those vibes being I wanted to puke every time he was on screen.
I cried more than any child in this show - and for good reason. Maid is a poignant, deeply human story that explores themes of resilience, poverty, and survival through the lens of a young mother, played by Margaret Qualley. This limited series shines a light on the systemic barriers that trap people in cycles of poverty and abuse. It is pure, tender, and handled with such care for its subject matter. The show taught me so much and touched my heart profoundly.
The acting is unbelievable - Margaret Qualley, Anika Noni Rose, and even little Rylea Nevaeh Whittet deliver incredible performances. Margaret is truly a gem and can do no wrong in my eyes. And Andie MacDowell? She was otherworldly. Her performance is one of the greatest pieces of acting I've ever witnessed. I've never seen anything like it and probably never will again.
I thoroughly adored this show. I only wish I were articulate enough to give it the praise it truly deserves.
