Moonlight
"you cry?"
The way that these actors can portray everything just through subtle facial expressions and their voice in honestly stellar and so noticeable. When Chiron gets that call from Kevin and he starts to not talk, and stutter, and you can tell he's dropped his act and is his old self again I genuinely couldn't hold myself
This is a slow film, it doesn't give you bombastic moments to feel a certain way, you just feel throughout, and that's maybe not something I'm as used to but it's really really done well. I wanted to watch this because of the whole Oscars debacle 10 years later, and what I've come out with is a movie that is genuinely 100% worth a watch and it's awards. I think I may need to see it again though, to just really make time for it, cause I watched it in pieces, so next time I'll take 2 hours out of my day and treat it like a theatre, no distractions then I can really appreciate it
