Pan's Labyrinth
I recently watched Frankenstein directed by Guillermo del Toro and wanted to watch other films directed by him as I love the way he produced frankenstein and how well written it was, and was surprised to see he directed Pan's Labyrinth! As I watched pan's Labyrinth I can definitely see how he has directed both these films as they are so different and unique compared to other films I have seen this year! Pan's Labyrinth has been a movie on my watch list for so long and now, I finally got the chance to watch it and wow I was blown away. I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the uniqueness this film composed and also (this is something quite specific) but I loved the colour scheme they used throughout the film! It was a blue hue, at times golden too. The atmosphere was incredible when I was watching and the character of the faun was a good mixture of being eccentric and unpredictable but also bringing humour to the mostly serious dialogue from the captain and the adults. The character of the pale man brought a combination of being eerie, enticing, and nightmarish. This film resonates with me for some reason but I'm all here for it and would definitely re-watch this movie multiple times and never get bored of it 👏
