Getting to the end of this sprawling epic about Albert Ruddy and realising he has a writing credit on Adam Sandler's Longest Yard remake. I really enjoyed this! I adore the mechinations of 60s and 70s Hollywood and this had it up the wazoo. The giant Barefoot in the Park poster on the office wall made me so happy. Love Miles Teller and Burn Gorman. Making half the show about Bob Evans having a nervous breakdown while he watches The Odd Couple on his giant projector screen, and casting Matthew Goode who is AMAZING in this, is a stroke of genius. He makes the show, he's doing a full ass Muppet Show performance and it makes the whole thing feel kinda Muppety and it's a delight. The guys playing Pacino and Brando are hilarious. It goes on way longer than it should. Random Giovanni Ribisi mob shit thrown into every episode for no reason. Couldn't ask for more from the age of streaming tv really.
