bro upon reading the reviews on this app i think yesmovies .lol gave me a bootleg version. i laughed maybe once and exhaled sharply twice. this falls under the category of a great movie that i did not like. acting and shots were phenomenal, ivan actually might deserve an oscar. some stuff could’ve been trimmed down tho respectfully. i think i don’t understand some key themes of the movie fully, and i think there are a few interpretations. to me the hardest hitting is the parallel between igor and anora, subject to abuse and societal prejudice based on their occupation (hitman/soldier and sex worker, two that are historically gendered and often but not always involve some imbalance of power) seeing how they each come to understand each other was beautiful and tragic in the end. last scene has a lot to unpack that i don’t wanna do here
