the best part of period peice movies are the banger lines - “oh yes his misfortunes have been very grave indeed” i think i would appreciate the movie even more if i was better aware of the social intricacies of the time. even so, enjoyed thoroughly the clever lines, strong characters who don’t conform to the times, and one of the few times i felt on multiple occasions that actors were uniquely good for their parts, namely president snow, keira and mr darcy. would’ve liked more buildup to their relationship, does kinda feel like rain proposal is out of nowhere, could also be a skill issue on my part.
