Sigh suddenly I’m eleven years old again watching this on repeat and looking up Reddie fan art. I still love this movie so, so much. I didn’t expect to feel so strongly about it today, but I do lol. Like most people, I think jumpscares are kind of stupid, but the projector scene is STILL one of my favorite uses of a scare in all of horror. I don’t really think this film is scary now (probably because I overdid my rewatches), but I do think this is a really cool staple in the genre.
P.S. Beverly/Sophia Lillis was one of my first gender envies!! She was able to be so beautifully feminine, while also holding such bad ass masculinity. Love her still!!!
