Superman

this is why james gunn is my favourite. the depth of this film is genuinely magical. the cinematography, the acting, the colours, the speeches, even the screen ratio. everything was just.. wow. there was this one black hole scene, where everything goes beautifully slow motion as colour just absorbs the screen and i audibly went "holy fuck" in pure admiration. james gunn never fails to amaze me and pull through. as for the emotional side, i really felt a connection with it. superman went from believing in his birth parents to his earth parents, especially after the talk with his dad (i almost cried), and then the ending scene. yeah... im gonna need business days to recover. the message and symbolism of the character superman itself is to help others and live life as much as you can just by being yourself; human. james gunn finally portrayed that message, and now i really understand what superman is all about. straight into my top 4, i loved it too much.
