Head Over Heels
so silly of me to think a movie about a woman who moved to new york and is moving in with 4 models will actually tell a story about their female friendship and womanhood and not about a man, his boring job, and absolutely does not include a femicide case told in a comedic manner.
Head Over Heels is a movie that does not know where the story should go and just hopes for the best. despite having some similarities with White Chicks and was released only a couple years apart, it's deservedly forgettable. the models are the most interesting part of this movie and IS the selling point yet they fail to figure out what they should be doing with them. instead, we keep getting a non charismatic main character with a monotonous line delivery and her relentless pursue of freddie prinze jr.
i just wish hollywood in the 2000s (and even now) understands that women are truly interesting, because the amount of compelling and memorable female characters that they produced at that time only to reduced as nothing more than a love interest is unforgivable.
