After Hours

an absolute fever dream. scorsese cooks up a perfect storm of shit happening. so many events taking place around the main character it gets overwhelming,but the perfect amount of surrealism to feel dream-like. still very Scorsese with the new York backdrop and it doesn't go over the top with the surreal elements which I respect as the subtle stuff like the cinematography really go the extra length in invoking that feel without it being too 'in your face'
