10DANCE
This was SOOOO interesting and such a great watch!! I loved the chemistry between the two main characters, and you could feel the tension perfectly with the way the sequences are shot: the details of them glancing and touching each other were done very well. Through these physical cues, you can really perceive the somewhat naturally complex relationship Sugiki and Suzuki formed: their attraction and admiration but also some sort of envy they feel for each other. I literally got chills a few times during the movie. Another thing I unexpectedly enjoyed was Fusako and Aki’s characters. They felt actually important in their roles of supporting their respective partners, and through them, we saw aspects of Sugiki and Suzuki that we wouldn’t have grasped completely otherwise. I honestly wished we got to know them better because I really liked them on their own. The only thing I didn’t really understand was why they would make Sugiki and Liana dance after the competition; it was a bit random, to be honest. Despite this, I truly loved the film, and since their story it’s clearly not concluded, I hope we get a sequel to explore it even more.
