Dune
Good film, amazing assemble of cast maybe one of the best ever. The first 30 minutes is one of the best 30 minutes I have ever seen. It integrated us into a new universe with new structure, characters and way of life all whilst maintaining a good intriguing movie, not feeling rushed or crammed. After the first 30 I was so impressed and from there it did get worse, that’s not to say it was bad tho the film only went as low as an 8/10 with the beginning being a comfortable 10 but what I was most impressed with was the pacing of the film the 2hours 40 absolutely flew by and not one point did I feel it was dragging or boring, I do partially think this was because of the strict attention the film required to understand both the social and political aspect of the new world but nevertheless it worked! Timothy Chalamet really held his own and grew into the lead throughout the film with him having a presence everytime he was on screen. Great film and perfectly set up the sequel Dune 2
