Inside Man
Absolutely amazing piece of cinema. One of if not the greatest heist film of all time, it had everything from action to enigma to a range of interesting characters. Clive Owen was stoic yet philosophical which was portrayed perfectly through how he communicated throughout with those in the bank and those external, as well as his quite pacifist approach - not killing anyone - it has everyone hooked from the beginning with one of the greatest pieces of opening monologue ever. Denzel Washington was sublime as ever and really cool to see him interact with Clive Owen throughout the film, constantly showing that they were not complete opposites. Jodie foster was also really good acting as a sort of unknown character who was hard to understand a lot of the time showing depth apart from just a bank heist and watching her use people whilst she built her own image of what was going on was mesmerising. Additionally, the last 30 minutes of the film with the uncovering of the Nazi involvement and the bank owner as well as the cyclic link to the beginning of the film with Clive Owen in the walls, absolutely amazing. One of the most underrated and best films of all time being quite obviously the best heist film of all time surpassing that of oceans 11 etc.
