Interstellar
Absolute masterpiece one of Nolan’s best. The last 30 minutes elevate it to one of the greatest films of all time whilst consistently being a 9/10 throughout. The way Nolan manipulates time across all of his films and specifically gravity in this one is mesmerising. Matthew’s performance is one of the best of the 2010s and the scene when 23 years have passed and he is reviewing his children growing up is one of the best ever. It is a common film to praise but on a film scale the structure is quite simple throughout up until the Nolan sauce when we are totally redirected to a totally new environment. You really resonate and feel the way that you should, confused, frustrated yet hopeful. What a brilliant film
