“Isn’t this a strange conversation for men who aren’t crazy?” I LOVE RENFIELD, HES MY FAVORITE PART ALWAYS it’s always bela lugosi this and bela lugosi that, and, yeah, he’s cool BUT dwight frye was the real diva of this production 99% of this movie is carried by atmosphere AND IM FINE WITH THAT its shot so pretty and the lighting is among my favorite, eyes have never looked so intense on the silver screen as they do in this also really random but i love the stairs in dracula’s castle, i urgently need them for the sole purpose of dramatically standing at the top and greeting people down below first watch of the season, but its among my top most rewatched movies of all time because nothing gets me in a festive spooky mood better than this this is my halloween comfort movie beyond all reason idc ik its not even necessarily halloween related but whatever i finally found an available version of Dracúla, the spanish version that was shot on the same set in the same year but alternating day/night shooting schedules, so ill be watching that soon and i can’t wait to see how it compares!!!
