Encanto

I am so proud of Colombia! The country I was born. This was one of my most anticipated releases since the first Trailer came out and after watching it I can say: This is exactly how I wanted this movie to be.  I’ve grown up in Germany but nearly my whole Family lives in Colombia. This year my mom went back to live in Colombia after being for 20 years (thats how old I am) in Germany. So Colombia is where my heart belongs to, the place where home and family is. And this movie is pure Colombia! The Look, the Music, the Characters, the Symbolism. I am speechless. Watching Encanto was one of the most beautiful experiences in cinema I’ve ever had because it gave me this feeling of being home and being with my family. Something I miss so much. I fucking love Encanto. I love my family!  And today I’m going to do arepas and give them to my german friends! It’s the first time having Arepas since my mom went back to Colombia. She always did them, now it’s my turn.
