The Odyssey

Round 2: This time in IMAX 70 mm and my first time seeing a film on film  Seeing all the little  mess  on film like hair grains and small white dots made the old school hollywood feeling more authentic.  I do think the Nolanism you know exposition-heavy dialogue and the quick edits do hinder some of the best attributes of the film like we did not need the bow explanation earlier or Zeus’s law explained about 3 times. But explanations like the sirens or odysseus’s monologue work a lot  Certainly a case of emotion over the more annoying aspects for me. Oppenheimer is still better with this thematic messaging since I think Nolan perfected visual storytelling which didn’t require much expository dialogue  Favorite performance  John Leguizamo Samantha Morton  Robert Pattinson  Anne Hathaway  Also Dune 3 prologue was awesome especially on this screen.
