Possession
Isabelle Adjani was amazing in this, Sam Neill while there's no doubt he's an brilliant actor was a bit shoddy in this one. It was harrowing nontheless.
There's probably ton of hidden meaning and symbolism that went over my head, but there were some scenes I didn't understand completely... Like why did he cut himself with that electric knife? (or whatever its called), the ballroom scene while engaging and very tense just didn't need to happen.
The monster or whatever you wanna call it looked great though and was right out disgusting and I loved the design. The plot was exciting though I was fairly interested in where it was going but didn't feel completely satisfied by the end.
The location was interesting, haven't seen many films played out in Berlin, at least pre-David Hassellhoff. I see why this has become a cult classic but for me it kinda just played out and I found some of the acting to be a bit over the top.
This a good movie no doubt about that, but I feel like I'm missing something.
