i wish i was a fly on the wall in the writers room when someone cooked up meth sign spinning chicken truly a great movie imo !! i wish we would’ve got to see more from their dynamic as i dont think doomsday is going to give the time for individual character reflection to anyone 😭😭 (my poor girl ava) ok.. WHY IS BUCKY A SENATOR THIS SHIT MAKES NO SENSEEE HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE. THAT THE PUBLIC WOULD FUCKING ELECT HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE?? HOW DID BRO GO FROM NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH FOR 70 YEARS TO PUBLIC SPEAKING IN CONGRESS ??? i do think buckys character is in a bit of a standstill rn. they (really deeply and expertly) explored so much of his trauma and helped him heal in tfatws that it feels like the writers dont know what they want to do with him. i think the senator arc could’ve actually been really good for bucky if there was any kind of drive or motivation for him and if we actually got to see the obstacles he faced as a literal ex-soviet weapon trying to enter the american government. but instead they just slapped a suit and the ugliest slickback i’ve ever seen on him and kinda just chucked him in the movie an hour in with nothing to do 💔 and wdym my girls are fighting :( speaking of which ! as john walkers biggest hater during tfatws, i actually really appreciate the development they’ve given him in this movie !! i do want to go back and rewatch to see if i was actually giving him a fair shot ! overall, this shit was so super funny and i will now be watching lewis pullmans entire filmography !
