Angel

I put this on for background noise but I ended up really invested. The characters absolutely made this film. The almost familial dynamics between Angel & her friends highlights exactly what it is she’s longing for and fighting to keep throughout the movie. I absolutely adored Mae & Solly’s dynamic, and I grew to like the cop, even though I didn’t love him at first. The ending was sad, remembering all that Angel’s lost, but also somewhat hopeful watching her walk away with at least a piece of her family still intact.
