Although I expected the ending to come out as it is (knowing the borderline incestuous and controlling nature of Tatang), the entire movie was still eery in the sense that it felt frightening and suffocating as I saw what happened to the characters in the patriarchal home. After all, horror can happen within homes that don’t come in the form of the supernatural.
