Hell's Paradise
opens with a fantastic pilot, which may have set my expectations a bit too high because it fell off quite hard until the final third. this show works at a relentless pace and WAYYY TOO MUCH was being thrown at the viewer for it to truly be enjoyable but slugging thru it all was totally worthwhile because when all of the little groups started to form up and gain understandings of the power systems at play, it was super satisfying. every single character blossomed so fast in their groups and i like most of them. they are no where near the top of the anime world but for battle shonen in particular they are certainly up there.
the animation was honestly kinda ass for when this came out and its especially disappointing being from MAPPA. i wish the demon slayer team got this instead because it is a MUCH much much better story and their animation style would be perfect for this
