no clue why this works so well for me. i've watched it 4 times now and the charm is still there, in something that would usually make me lowkey annoyed and upset.  its just so intense i literally am more locked in on this than like any thriller or action movie and it does all of that just purely off of atmosphere. its so impressive for a debut. some bangers in the score aswell as great acting all around. some of the most intriguing and effective world/character building on film its also so pretty with great locations and i love the food and yas. this along with twilight inspired me to do a road trip to the west coast with the love of my life 🥰 gets extra points for being a part of something special in my life. it also gets extra extra bonus points for being the movie to really kickstart my letterboxd journey and actually start caring a bunch about film as a whole. how did this director go from making one of my favorite movies of all time to one of my 5 least favorites of all time. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE 😮‍💨
