The Empty Man

actually insane, might of been high so i will have to revisit it but i've never been on edge like this ever off the walls concepts at play with really unique direction choices. a lot of lingering shots which is something that i appreciate the most in horror. has some great jump scares and they don’t always come in a conventional way, they build up in different styles the entire time and it’s just fun and keeps you on your toes. can definitely see his fincher influence. loved the sound and editing,  the story did not go the way i thought it would which rarely happens anymore w spooky movies. the acting was kinda bad at times but it worked w the plot lowkey so idk. helped me get immersed and feel what the main dude was going thru a bit more? also fuck caden’s ac for making the whistle noise the whole time 😭 sounded the exact same… kinda strange 😕 the publishing and production stories for this are sad but pretty interesting, definitely worth some research after a watch tho! i need more movies from this man i can’t die without seeing something from him in theaters.
