Ahsoka

Ahh I’m upsettingly torn on this. I absolutely adore Star Wars, and I especially adore both The Clone Wars and Rebels. I did overall really enjoy this series but there was a lot of things that fell kinda flat for me.  I think it served well as a follow up to Rebels and had some nice call-backs and heartfelt moments. It definitely placed a lot of focus on lore-building, which I’m honestly always a fan of. Baylan was also a great addition to the story and overall universe! Lars Mikkelsen was absolutely the highlight! His Thrawn will always be menacing and it was no surprise to me that he would be absolutely stellar. Other than that, the performances were a mixed-bag but overall pretty good. Visually, this show is wonderful! The cinematography showcases some lovely landscapes and scenery, and provides some beautiful framing. The final shot is delightful! Unfortunately, I feel like a lot of the script fell flat. There were a lot of genuinely gripping and entertaining moments sprinkled throughout, but it really needed something to elevate it all.
